Faith is Believing December 4

Romans 1:17

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

This is the verse that Martin Luther read, and he received a profound revelation from God. He said, 'it was like the gates of heaven were opened."

This revelation gave him an understanding that salvation is received through faith and not works; it changed his life.

I asked my pastor once, "Why is faith so important?" He laughed and said something like, "I don't know, I just know God is really big on faith."

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

God gave us all Free will, it is based on His love for us, and He wants you to love Him as much as He loves you. But He will not force you to love Him, but how do you learn to love God? By trusting Him, and how is trust learned? We seek Him through His written word, and when you do, He will reward you, and it is accomplished by faith.
