The God of Heaven January 22

Ephesians 2:6

And He hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

One day, while at a prayer meeting, I had a realization that we are to be seated on the right hand of Jesus and make supplications for our requests. Then the light bulb went off! If I were seated with Jesus (In the Spirit) We are to pray down our needs. I have always prayed up for my needs.

You see there are three heavens. The First Heaven is our Atmosphere here around us where men live, and the sky above. The Second Heaven is outer space, the planets this is also where the battle of spiritual warfare takes place.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Third Heaven is God’s throne and Jesus sits on the right hand of God.

In World War II the pilot’s new higher altitude gave a great advantage when it came to combat. The best advantage was to be able to look down on your enemy with the sun directly behind you. This always gave them the element of surprise; with this tactical advantage they could swoop down and do some damage.

Imagine the force we can do against a spiritual enemy when you attack them with the Son behind your back! And how do you get to this amazingly high altitude? On your knees of course through prayer.
